| Not my idea, have to admit, it was suggested by "veganfiddler" in a bit crowded post http://support.genopro.com/FindPost10718.aspx but I concur with it completely... For most people most important data (besides name of person) to be seen are Date and Place of Birth AND Death... There are several options in Display field, but not the option of display of BOTH Place AND Date... So if it's possible I would like to see options Display - Date and Place 1.of Birth 2.of Death 3.of Birth and Death TNKS
- "εν οιδα οτι ουδεν οιδα" (Σωκρατησ) - "The only thing that I know is that I don't know anything" (Socrates)

| Date and PLACE of birth & death are basic essential requirements. Simply cannot understand why they were not included in the primary versiion. Even more astounding that no provision appears to be made for them in revisions. Entire program is of limited value without this fundamental detail

It depends on how you want to use the program. I have a lot of people on a tree and am happy with existing Display Options - but do note they can be expanded. In addition to name and date options you can display Comments and Custom Tags.
If you have a small number of individuals you can copy the information that you want into a Comment. I say small number, because if you have a large number the display gets crowded.
The alternative is to use the Custom Tag option. Ron has created a Utility that shows what can be done. I use it all the time to convert Baptism records into displayable information. I am sure this could be extended to display Place of Birth
Why is this not in the 'standard' version. Do not forget that the standard is 1.99 and we are using 2Beta. It could be an option in 2.xx - but the important thing is to get 2.0 out.

| I have an extremely large tree covering several centuries. Without being able to include the places of birth/baptism and death/burial with the dates on the printed tree the print out will be of extremely limited value to me as a genealogical record. However, apart from your omission of what I see as a basic and essential requirement, I find the ease with which the tree can be structured and the ease with which the data can be entered to be very good and I might yet buy in!

| Already discussed - see the topic: http://support.genopro.com/Topic5649-58-1.aspx ....It would be much better to let each user to define his own combination (and there still can be drop-down list with the pre defined combinations) of the strings (names). I would prefer to define my own combination with some expression for example: "%T %F %L2 - %S" etc. Look at program called CDex - configuration of filename format - this will solve problems of everybody and you can save your time for really important task and not for such small modifications (I know that for users the format is important). ....

| This would be simply fantastic!! Excellent! Very useful! A big help! It would be possible - with one quick look at the tree - to see the "time and space" scope of the family!! Display - Date and Place 1.of Birth 2.of Death 3.of Birth and Death TNKS

wow... would date AND place of birth AND death on the genomap make for a super crowded display... but I guess that's related more to how you name your places and how much detail you go in to.

| True, it can get very, very crowded... I thought of adding the town name (and the next user will suggest to add the country as well) to the right of the dates. In the example below it would appear "Dankelshausen" to the right of 1840 and "Hannover" to the right of 1906. Simply would be to show birth.place and death.place.
