| Would be gr8 if you could use hyperlinks with "text labels". I use hyperlinks from individules to view their documents but would be nice if you could use hyperlinks from text labels for more generic information.

Dan already said that there is a plan to add this ability in the same manner as adding pictures to an individual. I guess that when added to an individual it will be possible to open those links.

| No, was thinking more of being able to use text labels to be able to hyperlink to anything. i.e I could set some up to link to information about certain towns and villages history, web sites etc. so more generic than just individuals.

You can set up dummy individuals and use them to create hyperlinks on a GenoMap. If you go to the properties menu you can turn off the Gender symbol and use the various name fields to produce enough text to describe the document that you link to.
I have used this in a demonstation to run an .exe file to display a slideshow

Beta 16 will have bookmarks. A bookmark is an object capable to link to a position (x,y) within a GenoMap or another object such as an individual or family. Eventually, the text label will have the option to navigate to a bookmark or an external hyperlink such as a file or URL when clicked upon.
