Hello, they say things come in three's!

Mark 2.  I've added in a screen dump here to see if you can explain why I have this unconnected line from Melissa and explain the 'x' under Fionna. This has happened since I published my tree on Genpro website. SSBB.honeywood5. Even Dale Woods drops down a bit on the left.

Could you also point me to the answer you've given re members query on all this extra white space in and around my tree, that makes it so spread out.

It is not easy to work out how the line appeared to the right of Mckenzie but it should be easy to correct it. Select the line and move the cursor to the end so it shows a 'shorten' cursor <->, not the 'move' cursor +. Drag the line to the left of Mckenzie and a red blob should then appear so the line can then be connected correctly.

On the screen shot Fionna has a square, not an 'x' on the family line. This has been created in the Family Properties display in the third menu box, Family Line, where the option 'No more children' has been selected. A cross '+', not 'x', will appear for the other options.

One other suggestion. You might find the relationship of the children clearer if you separate the family lines vertically (select one and drag it) This will make it clear that Kent is Mckenzie's father. You can the link the other three children to the second family line as children (again) but then change the link to be adopted.

Line below Mellisa and Kent doesn't surprise me at all!

You must have moved selection of parents(or kids) and family lines, but haven't kids (or parents)... It's very common in my editing. You have to resolve it by selecting family line exclusively, and moving the end of it to the last family member in line on the side that's too long... (color of family member connection will change from blue to red...). I already suggested a solution in http://support.genopro.com/Topic5935-58-1.aspx...

X is symbol for "To be completed" in "End of family line" options... You can change it Family properties!
