Several times I have used GenoPro to create diagrams showing descent and division of family property. This can be a crucial piece of evidence to confirm relationships between generations and is of wider social historical interest (it is also a subject I am teaching a university module about). To show this information graphically I have "borrowed" the lines provided for showing good and bad emotional relationships. Obviously this could be misunderstood! It would be useful to have some alternative linear graphics to show other relationships (e.g. godchildren or foster mothers), gifts, inheritances, etc. which do not have other established meanings in psychology. Are there any conventions already in use?

Have you tried the Social Relationship?  The social relationship is the Coffee Cup icon in the toolbar.  The social relationship will draw an arrow, however if you double-click, you can specify the type of relationship such as

Roommate
Lives with
Neighbor
Babysitter
Attending
Member of
Manager of
Supervisor of
Subordinate of
Employee of
Reporting to
Associate with
Representative of
Advisor of
Director of
Competitor of
Customer of
Investor of
Funding of
Acquaintance
Named After
Pupil of
Other
