| GenoPro is not new for me but now I'm not sure how to import retrieved data. I got from my friend a GEDCOM file with more then 14,000 indivuduals and I would like to work with this database and use part of it into my one. When I import GEDCOm file after while I can see really big mess (autoarange, not easy task...). How to work with the database now? Is it only way to use table/list wiev and search option? Graphical interface is not usefull now... Or is there some other way how to display the "mess" corectly? Thank you for your advise

| My recommendation is to open this Gedcom file in a separate file. By default, GenoPro will do a Trivial AutoArrange which will sort the names alphabetically. Select one individual you want to start and move it to another GenoMap. Then, use the keyboard key V (Move Family to this GenoMap) to bring his/her spouse and children. Repeat as necessary until you are satisfied with the imported data. Copy & Paste the tree into your master .gno file.

Thanks for this tip as I received a gedcom file of 11000 names which has been a headache to sort out and so far I have only managed to do about 10% of it by moving people out from the mess one at a time and searching for spouses and children by sliding the boxes around to see where they connect I have just tried this and wish I had known about this earlier as it is much easier to use than my old efforts. :P but I still have another 90% to do !

Key V do only the selection - therefore why "Move family..."? It does not sounds logical.
