when we open the properties, the first field on each tab is marked with a blue color by default, even if we just want to view the properties on not to modify it. Then by mistake we can scroll the wheel button of the mouse, and it changes the data.

I suggest that users will have to manually mark a field to change it.

Agree. Or, another solution can be to have a View properties entry in the right-click menu (with shift-Enter, for example), which opens the properties window in view only mode.

Thanks for raising this, it has been an ongoing concern when entering data, as I mostly use a laptop with scroll mouse. I am forever having to cancel entries when accidentally changing details using the scroll function.

I hope we can cancel the scroll function under the Properties Page.

I fixed this. The mouse wheel no longer has effect on an edit field or combo, unless the drop-down is visible.

The fix will be in Beta 18d.

Beta 18d is available at http://www.genopro.com/beta/.  Let me know if you still get some annoying behavior with the mouse wheel and/or a data field.
