If the last file used was saved to a removable drive, such as a memory stick, the next time GenoPro is opened you get the message 'Can not open file ....'. The program then exits and you have to reload.

It would be more friendly, and possibly less worrying to less experienced users, if GenoPro continued to load after showing the warning.

I find this message very annoying too.  Unfortunately, I this code is part of the built-in MFC framework.  Someday I will get rid of the MFC framework.  On that day, GenoPro won't exit when a file fails to load on startup.

As a workaround you can do one thing, Dan: first to check the existence of the file and start the automatic load only in case of no error received.

It once annoyed me too, especially when I used to switch between the beta and v1.x. I just unchecked the option to 'Automatically reload of last document at startup' (Tools>Options) and it is only a couple of extra clicks to load the required file from the File menu.
