Which version are you using? There has been a fix on this a while ago. Can you try Beta 18c?

| Hi, I think I am using Beta 2. Basically, I add all the places and save it. My tree is stored on a memory drive and I generally use 2 different computers. When I swap to the other computer, all the info added on notes have stayed but places have disappeared. It does not come back if I then switch back to the first computer. They also disappear when I export to gedcom. Thanks!

Check you are using the same version on both machines - from Help on the top menu click on About GenoPro. It should be showing Version 2.b18c for the latest updates.
If you are not using the latest version you will be missing out on the latest features. However that is not so important as having the same version on both machines

Using Beta 18c you can export to xml format, which, I haven't found any error with as of yet.

| Hi again, I am now on my other computer and all the places of birth have disappeared again! I downloaded the same version of genpro to both computers so it is not that. Any other ideas? Thanks for your help.

| Hi there, Thanks for the email below. I'm not trying to export anything at present. I just want the births and death places to show. Basically, my tree is stored on the memory drive and I access it from one of the two computers depending whether the laptop is home or not. I spent this week saving a whole load of places using the laptop, and checked that I had the same version of genopro on both the laptop and the PC. Then when I plugged the memory stick into the pc, all the places I had added had disappeared again. It wasn't a case of me using an old version of the tree because all the notes I had added were still there. One possibility I thought of was that when I enter a place, the programme remembers the spelling. If for instance I add Lympne, Kent, England it predicts that the next time I enter anything that starts with the first letters of the place. It doesn't however remember between the 2 computers. Is it possible that although I think I am entering a place-name, I am just entering the memory on my computer of the place-name and that disappears when I use the other computer because it doesn't have that memory. The only disadvantage I could think of that theory however was that it doesn't remember the original name from when I first entered it between one computer and another. Thanks
