| When entering names of new sons and daughters of parents with last names already entered, could you have the software automatically suggest using the last name of the father rather than having us enter the children's last name for us? This would speed up the name entry process ... we could just accept or change the suggested last name of the children. Maybe you could include a preferences option for auto-suggesting the last name of either the father, mother or nothing-at-all.

The Family Wizard automatically suggests from the most popular last name of the children. If no children are present, then it suggests the father's last name or mother's last name.

True, However could the same occur when entering from the graphical interface (gno file). It would speed up entry and increase accuracy.

The Family Wizard automatically suggests from the most popular last name of the children. If no children are present, then it suggests the father's last name or mother's last name.See, it only suggests a "Family Name / Maiden Name / Surname" when you actually start typing into that field ... I'd like to see the properties window automatically enter the parents "Family Name" as we are typing individual's "First Name" ... of course, we could over-ride the suggestion by typing over it with a new "Family Name" ... that advantage would be that we enter people faster and we are less likely to make errors by typing in the wrong family name.

| Adding sibblings e.g. by the Family Wizard does as you say automatically suggest the Surname (last name) , however it does not allow the full details (e.g. nickname) as is allowed when using the Properties Screen. I believe most people would use the Properties layout to add mambers and hence the addition of intuitive inclusion of the Parents Last Name would be of assistance.
