| I'm not sure whether this is a bug but I did not find a reason why hyperlinked individual has on each instance different ID. The fact is that one individual can have several IDs - that's look strange. There should be an other unique number to identify the hyperlinked entity then to use ID. Any explanation? Thank you for help.

It's not a bug. Each individual is unique and has its own unique id. However hyperlinks referencing that unique individual also have their own unique id because they exist as separate objects within the file. Each individual does not have several instances, only one, but may have one or more hyperlinks refering to it. Each of the hyperlinks has a property 'hyperlink_data_source' that contains the unique id of the linked individual. Perhaps it would have been better to have had a 'hyperlink' object instead of using the individual object for both the person and hyperlinks to it.

Ron (1/1/2006) Perhaps it would have been better to have had a 'hyperlink' object instead of using the individual object for both the person and hyperlinks to it.Is Ron's suggestion a possibility? In an earlier post GenoProSupport wrote... While this is true, I have the problem that when I export GenoPro to Access, I end up with duplicate individuals in my database.

Will there be any change to the IDs of internal hyperlinks for V2?

Do you not find it redundant that an individual can have 2 IDs if they have an internal hyperlink? I understand that an internal hyperlink is its own object, but an individual with a int. hyplnk. has 2 IDs, making it appear as though there are 2 individuals.
I'm not at my home computer and I'm working on a mac at the moment, so I can't check if there is a duplicate ind. in the table layout. Perhaps this is my own issue that I have to deal w/ when exporting to Access. Although, I am curious if the Report Generator creates 2 individuals when there is a internal hyperlink?
Is there any way around this?

Sorry for multiple posts, but could you elaborate more on "proper names and descriptions."
Thanks!
