If I add a large number of images, the system stops showing the images. Images are added but no image is shown anymore. I think this happens after adding around 30 images. If you stop and restart GenoPro, the problem is solved.

I've been adding around 300 images during the last evening, and hit the problem several times.

I've been using 19c

I've seen this behaviour also in beta16, so it's there already for a long long time...

I will take a look at the image caching algorithm.

GenoPro remembers a few images in memory.  When memory goes low, it flushes out some images.

Actually this happened recently when I was adding photos and I had to save, close and reopen in order to see the last photo added.

If the photos are not shown, they are still properly added. Since I added 300 photos, I didn't want to restart a *lot* of times. I just kept on adding, checking after a restart that the photo was added properly.

I have to say that I am adding large images (a few MB per photo), however, I am having 2gb of physical memory in my system so it's very unlikely that I am running out of memory. The pagefile is 4gb.

I am going to add a number of photos tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to reproduce the behaviour, with the memory consumption shown on the status bar. I'll be able to report on this EOD tomorrow CET.

rgds,

Ronald
