I've been trying to get GenoPro to run using Wine. It worked once but now, following an operating system upgrade, it will not. Does anyone have experience running GenoPro beta using WINE?
Please share your expertise.
Thanks Norman
I finally tried again clearing everything including GenoPro (stable not beta). While reinstalling GenoPro the intstallation program recognized a missing file. I allowed it download that from the GenoPro website (InstallMfcDLL.exe). Installed the file now everything works.

I too am trying to run 1.99c or 2.0 using wine in Kubuntu, current version. Pentium 4 with 512 Meg Ram.
I can install either and run them a little bit but then something always goes wrong. In 2.0 the pop up boxes for individuals are hard to write to and are mostly empty when opening an old data base, except for one letter in each line. Panning in 1.99 freezes. 2.0 can't generate reports, etc, etc.
Anybody get them to work, completely???
I want to leave Windows but I want to take GenoPro with me.
Thanks in advance, Panther
