My father has left me some ftw and and FBK files, but I can't see it, as I don't have a Family Tree Maker (and rather not purchase it, if I can avoid it). Can anyone help with converting these two files to GEDCOM ? Help would be greatly appreciated, Galia.

As I am a member of Amazon I was able to download the software and import your two files and then export them to Ged com files.

Some of the names are strange, perhaps written in a font I don't have.

I hope you can use them.

HY, Files are written is some strange (to me) scripting combination. I have a whole bunch of unicode fonts on my computer, but still cannot open correctly. It would help to know in which language settings the files were written (as I can read (almost) all European fonts and scripts).

Was it Hebrew with RTL option?! As it requires additional scripting support instalation...

It is in Hebrew. I already sent Galia the files in the GEDCOM format.
