| Stop some relative from ordering genoPro and then using the report you sent them via CD to make changes and whatever, therefor screwing up what you have in your records.

If you send someone a CD I do not see how you can stop them adding to it - correctly or otherwise. However this will not affect your own data on your own PC and will not affect your published reports, unless you have given out your password.
There is a lot of discussion about copyright of material on the internet. As a first suggestion you could make sure that the source fields of all data that you enter are complete
