Running Vista 64, version 2.0.1.0 seems to run fine but it can not find the skins folder (because its not there) The only folder under GenoPro is SampleFiles.  I tried to uninstalling and reinstalling but same problem any suggestions?

TIA

The Skin folder is created "on demand", that is when you edit your first skin.

If I open generate report and new skin or edit skin I get an error "

Unable to write file 'C:\Program Files\GenoPro\Skins\Customized English Narrative Report\calendarevents.js'.

Access Denied. Unable to create directory and/or file because of security permissions. Please make sure the file or folder is not read-only

Ok I know what the problem is from this message. If anyone else has this problem you have to run GenoPro as Administrator.

thanks

It is possible your folder "Program Files" is read-only, as it should be the case. Typically, applications such as GenoPro, should not write files into the C:\Program Files\ folder except during installation. What you can do is change the Skin Folder in the Options tab of the Generate Report dialog.

the way vista works is you need admin control to do things. even with my personal account being an admin is not enough. You have to right click and select under properties for it to run as administrator.  I have this problem with quickbook as well.  some programs work fine others do not. must be how they register with vista.

It does work fine now, thanks for the help and I love the changes to this latest version
