Good afternoon.
I have searched the forum and the help pages for the answer to this problem, but cannot find a solution so am hoping that some kind soul can help.

In my table layout, the first cloumn to the left I wish as the Surname sorted in ascending order. No problem, that happens.
My next column I wish as first name, sorted in ascending order within surname "blocks", but I cannot achieve that.
If I click to sort that column as I wish, then the ajoinder Surname column is no longer in ascending order.

If I copy and paste the whole onto a spreadsheet in Excel, then I can sort as I wish but of course I lose the ability to click on that spreadsheet to highlight the location in the map.

Can you tell me how to sort the columns as I wish, or is that just not possible. If it is not possible it is a serious omissiom in Genopro 2007.

Thank you for taking time to read this.

Just do the opposite:

1) Sort by first name
2) Sort by surname

You will get all the surnames grouped toghether, and sorted by first name.

Thank you for your reply.
I have tried that but to no avail.
I can get either the first or the second column sorted by name, but not both.

There is a toolbar button to remove (hide) the selected rows.  This way, you can keep a "block" within the Table Layout.  You may have to use the toolbar "Invert Selection" before using the "Hide" button.  If you can do sorting in Excel, then I am sure GenoPro can do it in the Table Layout.

Thank you for your continuing help.
That works ok, but only for one session. The next time I open the same table layout, it has reverted to it's previous configuration.
Very frustrating.
