This is the first time I've ran across this, and I'm wondering what is the best method to handle it.

I have a woman born as Kathy Smith, so I enter Smith in the maiden surname field.

She then gets married and becomes Kathy Smith-Jones, and I entered Smith-Jones in the second surname field.

When I display the name, I get Kathy Smith (Smith-Jones).

Is that an acceptable layout? or is there a more elegant solution?

Using 2.0.0.1 I entered your data but just added Jones to the Second Last Name box. You then go to the Display Name box and click the down arrow to choose the display that you want
