I changed the ő to ô and ű to û but that is just a half resolving. It hould be in the correct format.

I've did a little test using my system (Windows XP English) and I haven't seen any problem with those characters.

Can you explain more the problem?
Have you try another font?

GenoPro knows that is it important to have the correct behavior for every languages and if we can fix we will.

I have the same problem.  I have a standard keyboard (no unique Central European characters) so when I enter ő under Word, I need to use shortcut key ctrl+",o to get the right character.  On my genomap, I can enter ö by using ctrl+:,o  but I can't enter the ő character using the same method. I have got around the problem by typing the correct spelling under Word, then doing a copy & paste into my genomap,  e.g. Győr.

Any other way of doing this?

Bob.

The Ő, ő and Ű, ű (Central Eutopian) caharacters not looking correctly in the dialogs!

Do you mean the field names or the content of the fields?

I am using two computers, Windows ME(English) and Windows XP(Japanese).
To enter i.e. ü, I use the short cut key Alt+0252 and for ö Alt+0246 and for ä Alt+0228. These keys I also use to translate the menus. They work OK as long as I just translate on the Japanese(XP) and on the English(ME) version, however no "Umlaut" is shown when I actually select the German menu on the Japanese XP version and open a dialog box. The "Umlaut" does not show. However it shows on the English Version(ME).
This behavior is for the menus, for the content of the fields I have no problem.

I use Windows XP (English).  I can also use alt+0246 for ö but in Hungarian there is also a "long" version of this character,i.e. ő.  It is the same for ü  (alt+0252), the long equivalent is ű.  This is where my problem is. I don't know how to enter these other than the method I mentioned in my previous post.

Please try Alt+0245 for õ, but this may work only with an Hungarian font, since it looks different. You have to select the proper number from the Character map.(under system tools)

have also no problem representing ő and ű (Hungarian Windows XP, Hungarian locale set). Could you please check the character settings under Tools|Display alphabets?

btw, a screenshot posted will help a lot to understand your issue.

update: the ő really looks strange in the dialogs as the accents are not positioned correctly. However, for me it seems to be a character set problem - I do not think, that GenoPro uses flying accents, if the given character is already in the unicode character set.

update2: changing the non good looking characters to non-existing ones (in the Hungarian alphabet) is not a solution - especially taking into consideration, that this will have an effect for every users who would like to use GenoPro with Hungarian dialogs.
