I was wondering if there is a way to reconstruct a pedigree from an Excel table containing a code for each subject, the sex and both parents codes in genopro2007
I noticed in the program that it is possible to export the table relative to the family of an individual. Is it possible to make the contrary?
Thank you very much.

We had plans to implement such a feature, however this feature has been postponed.  What you can do is creating an XML file from your Excel spreadsheet.  GenoPro will open (import) the XML file without problem.

I created an XML file in Excel, but I have a problem to import the file in GenoPro. In the importlog is shown the message "Unable to find root node named " .

In the menu "Import file" I can only import a Gedcom. Why is there no option to chose import XML or other files?

You need to Open the file. One of the options in the drop-down menu for 'Files of type' is .xml - see below:

Thanks for your suggestion. I've opened the XML file, but i still got

Opening file 'G:\personenlijst Aldfaer.xml'...
Reading file 'G:\personenlijst Aldfaer.xml'...
Validating data...
Unable to find root node named

as error in the Message Log.

I would be curious to see your .xml file.  You have to produce an XML file GenoPro understands.  Saving your Excel document into XML will not work because GenoPro won't understand how the cells are linked together.

I have some functions to convert data from excel to a gedcom format.

Every user put the information in different way, and that means that I must personalize every time the function

I don't know if you solved the problem and if you knows VBA...

If you need, I can take a look to your files... or I can give you my functions...
