| How can I show that the wives of two brothers are also sisters? Ginger

| The simple answer is add the two sisters to their own family. However at present GenoPro's auto arrange will give a very muddled view of this, overlaying two of the individuals. See fig. 1 below. You can manually arrange the familes as fig. 2 but you still get crossing lines. My preference is to create a hyperlink for one of the sisters and use a double headed social relationship with the social connection value left blank to highlight the link - see fig.3. You can add a datatip to this social relationship to explain what is going on.

| To my mind its still a bit messy and unclear, Would anyone know if there is going to be a Genopro update at some point to handle this situation in a clearer manner, so far this issue had stopped me from buying GenoPro. In my immediate family my fathers sister married my mothers brother, Genopro just cant handle this relationship without creating a muddle, and because its at my own parent level the tree is muddled from that point.

| Sorry, but how would you resolve this in graphical interpretation... Any idea is appreciated! So far GenoPro can handle any representation of family connections I stumbled upon... graphically and logically too...

| An extension of Ron's fig.3 suggestion is to put fam1 on one Genomap, and fam2 on another, and then hyperlink both d1 and d2 - the families will have different Last Names anyway. In nicksey's case, both the females (the father's sister and the mother) should still have hyperlinks to the other Genomap.

Hi, I know this is an old topic, but I recently discovered that this same issue exists in my family.
I tried Ron's method, and everything looks fine when I exit the program. However, once I come back into the program, the tree is a garbled mess with lines that connect to nothing all over the place. Can someone help me with this issue?
Edit: Would it matter that I already had them as sisters and brothers before I tried the fix? Do I need to start all over with that entire Genomap again?
Do I need to not actually add one sister as a child of her parents? I am confused as to how exactly I am supposed to implement this.

As long as you saved your GenoMap before exiting GenoPro this shouldn't happen.

It should not matter, although you could start over again as a last resort.

All links should be as normal, but only once for the hyperlinked individual.
If you continue to run into problems you could post your GenoMap into this forum for others to investigate.

Okay, I deleted that particular tab on the GenoMap and reattached the people again. I think it works now.
