I changed the code a little bit to produce German texture in the html this way

but the Internet Explorer (IE7.0) offers a .zip file instead of a .gno  !!!

I tried this also with different sources e.g. http://familytrees.genopro.com/maru-san/Juels/

from different servers with different PCs and different browsers with no locical results.

Who has an explanation for this behaviour of GenoPro 2.0.1.1 which was different in version 1.0?

By the way, a .gno file is a .zip file.  If you rename the .gno file to .zip, you will be able to see the file Data.xml in an archiver.  It is possible the browser has an automatic detection algorithm and discovers the file FamilyTree.gno is a zip archive.

The good news however is the reports now include the family tree in SVG format, so the need to have the .gno file in the report is less important as it used to be.  Of course, we would still keep the .gno file in the report because it is a good 'backup' in case something happens, however we may not put a link to the .gno file from every individual.

I found out that the Problem is not server dependant by trying to download the FamilyTree.gno from a GenoPro server. It is possible but not as user friendly as in version 1.0 (I'm using IE7 and XP Pro)

Opening the file by clicking at the "Öffnen"-Button downloads a compressed Data.xml

Extracting this file an renaming to Familytree.gno gives the wanted result

I don't think that my relatives want to use this procedure to see the tree completely as it was possible by just one mouseclick before.

So maybe its just an Internet Explorer Option which has to be changed but which one?

This is because of Internet Explorer 7.  I use Internet Explorer 6 and the file FamilyTree.gno opens in my browser directly from the link above.

By the way, we are working on a collaboration module, so your family will be able to view your .gno file directly from GenoPro.  You will add the emails of the family members you wish to grant access, and the family membes will be able to open the .gno file.

Ok, that means in your next version you should remove the part in your default Dictionary.xlm which offers this possibility
