You can change the color from the Gender Text field.

Fine. So I can change the Symbol for Child/Don't Know (Gender). But I do not understand why it is set up in that way. Looking inside a GenoPro file I see that Gender Text can be defined in colour. However there is no Gender Text in the file; the '?' symbol presumably is inferred from the lack of one of the three predefined symbols. I have not found any way where Gender Text can be defined.
I realise that the symbols for M/F are drawing objects and ? is from a text font, so the creation is a different process. However for the user they are all symbols and should be treated in the same way. You might have information that a child exists and assign it a colour for some reason. If you later find the sex of the child you would then only have to alter one item.
Not an important feature, apart from consistency of approach. However I can see that the Gender Text could be expanded in future developments, although I am not sure how that would be compatible with the existing layout. I can see that in biological studies variations such as hermaphrodite might be needed (? use @ as symbol?) However unless there is the intention of expanding the use of Gender Text I would find it more useful to treat Gender Text colour as the same as Gender Symbol colour. Alternatively treat the Child symbol (?) as symbol instead of text
