Please could you explain what I am doing wrong. When I publish a Genomap it doesn't seem to publish. The space is there but no control. If I do get anything IE says someting about a missed web page.

If I publish two Genomaps with overlapps the people are duplicated in the people pick list. How do I stop this.

Thanks

Jonathon

Not sure what you are doing. To publish a genomap you need to Generate a report. Try this to your own PC at first by choosing a file using the Browse option. This will create a whole series of files and when finished open your default browser. As you are using Internet Explorer you need the .svg plug-in to see the graphic there. The links to get this should be in the report, but I have not used this for some time. The plug-in comes from ehe Adobe site, unless they have dropped it.
If this does not solve your problem, please give a bit more detail

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

My problem is simple. I hope the solution is. See http://www.haveoursay.com/default.htm. There is no Genomap1 which is my main family tree. It used to be there in the Genomap control section. If I looked at the site from another PC it was there (PC at work). Now it has gone. The add in looks like it is there.

Any ideas?

Kind Regards

Jonathon

The GenoMap1 is probably generated and on the server, but it's possible that the genomap is not visible in the browser because of server configuration.

That's the main reason we have created familytrees.genopro.com as a free hosting server for family tree. Try there first, if its work make sure your web server is configured properly to handle various file type.

I don't wont the same person appearing twice in the people picklist on the home page.

If you have a file with two Genomaps, with a person on both but created with hyperlink (Move to genomap) then the report sorts that out. You will have two people in the Genpro Table Layout (Ctrl+T) but the reporting knows they are the same person.
Could not see your svg graphic, nor the .gno file. Have you checked to see if they got transferred? Some ftp programs give up before they have completed all of the transfers, although that should not have been the problem.
One advantage of the Genopro server is that they look after the files. My ISP did an upgrade and lost all my files - and they did not back up users files

Just want to say I appreciate having so many ideas to overcome my issues. I am really surprised. I have published my site to the Genopro free  site and the family tree images now work. I have to say I have had my trees working on my site occasionally. I will look at the linking of people on the diagrams rather than copying them... I didn't quite understand the underlying model of Genpro...

Very good product.

Thank you to all those that have helped me!

One advantage of the Genopro server is that they look after the files. My ISP did an upgrade and lost all my files - and they did not back up users files

We backup everything, even the deleted files, in case a user wants to restore an accidental delete.  We backup almost 2 million files from http://familytrees.genopro.com.
