| My problem is this: I am inputting home addresses and telephone numbers under the Permanent Residence category in Contacts. Under the Other category, I input an individual's email address, cell phone, and Facebook page, etc. Unfortunately, one individual's email is getting propagated to all household members. I've tried deleting everything and starting from scratch a few times, but the corruption keeps popping up (looks fine the first time, but reappears after a save). I have 8 individuals all living in one house, but as two households. One household is 2 brothers, the other household is the 3rd brother with his wife, son, daughter, and the daughter's two sons. I label the 2 brothers as the "X Brothers" and the extended family as the "X Family". When I add an Other category for the daughter, the data is fine initially, but then her email seems to get propagated to her parents and sons. Her brother's email seems to stay where it should.

You need to create a "base contact" without an email address use this contact to both individuals. Then add a new contact entry for each individual, with the proper email addresses.

| Thank you for the quick reply. That is what I do, but I will try it again. I create a Permanent Address for a Family, pick it from the list for all the other family members, and then go back and add an Other entry for those with email addresses. That way I only have one physical address for a household, and as many email entries as needed. The problem is that the email address seems to get transferred from the Other entry to the Permanent entry somehow (the summary screen perhaps?). I can email you the file if you like.

| I don't know how the email for Cornilia Chandros, but spreads to her parents and children, however I have a solution. In the Table Layout, just delete the unwanted emails and it will work. Use the column References to determine which email you want to delete.

| Thank you for the work-around ... I tried it and it seems to work. Would you mind deleting that screenshot from your previous post, or blur it so no real names, addresses, or emails, etc appear. Thank you in advance. EDIT: Thank you for the editing the screen capture
