| I've seen several threads in other sections of this Support Forum asking how to share individuals between family trees without duplicating all the data. Some suggestions included external links, etc. In my main tree (one .gno file with ~15-20 genomaps), I have two One-Name Studies, and one One-Place Study. There are ~2,200 people in the file, and it gets overwhelming with the number of different surnames, etc. What I'd like to propose is to have the ability to create one of more familytrees.com web pages from one .gno file. For example, if you had: - a Smith one-name study genomap,
- a Jones one-name study genomap, and
- five London one-place study genomaps all in one .gno file.
You could then spit out the Smith genomap to a /Smith web page, the Jones genomap to a /Jones web page, and the 5 London genomaps all to one /London webpage. The pedigree links behind the scenes would still work, but the main pages would appear less cluttered, and with only the relevant names for each family.

1) Names:
If I understood well and if, say, all your Smith are grouped into a particular Genomap, then you can generate a separate Report only on that particular Genomap (Tools -> Generate Report -> Report Data Source). Same for your Jones.
2) Other Data Report:
At the moment, if not mistaken, Genopro doesn't have a proper Filtering facility.
Depending on Users Study interest, such facility could include:
- all Inds living in a particular city (London in your case),
- all Inds having a similar job,
- all Inds having the same religion,
- all Fams with 2 or more kids,
- etc ... it's endless really.
But bear in mind that we're moving away from the purpose of this Software, i.e. Pure Genealogy.
Unless such filtering facility is on Genopro To-Do List?

The filtering in itself is not that far away from what we have. Use the table layout and sort accordingly. You can then select all Persons with the name Smith(or other selections), regardless whether they are on one Genomap only or on several Genomaps.
The problem starts here. We can not create a report with those selected persons only(not yet). We can create reports by Genomap. However you can export the selected persons to a spreadsheet.

| Thank you for your suggestions jcguasp, I will give them a try. I didn't realize you could send a genomap to a separate webpage. Just to add a little more background to my problem: - The Smith genomap is a one-name study on my Father's surname
- The Jones genomap is a one-name study on my Sister's Husband's family.
- and the London genomaps are a one-place study of my Mother's family (she was related to pretty much every family in a small village).
I want to be able to separately discuss my Father's, Mother's, and Brother-in-Laws genealogy, if possible, but at the same time, if I click on one of my Sister's kids, I want to be able to see their full pedigree through all of the genomaps. Is there a current solution for doing that without using external links or splitting up the file?

Thinking of it differently, you could place all descendants on one or several genomaps and use a similar approach as described here to select the lines you wish to discuss.

| Ok, I tried your suggestion re: generating a tree for only selected genomaps, but the outcome wasn't what I had hoped for (ie, when I clicked on my neice's pedigree, my sister's ancestors did not appear.) I also read that other thread, and while it looks interesting, it's not the problem I'm looking to have solved in this instance. So, I'd like to raise the suggestion to the developers once again, if there's a way to create a unique Family web page for one or more genomaps.
