I would like to have the choice to give options to choose from in my Custom Tags. I know you can manage without them (by just typing in and remembering the options you wanted), but it would be much easier with them!

Use the Tag Editor from the Tools menu. You can type the name you want for custom tags.

Had created some tags just after the release of the Beta version, which gave us these custom tags.
Have carried forward these tags since then, but would like to delete some of them. Did not work via Tag editor and the "menu > delete > custum tags" is greyed out. They are still listed in Tag definitions.
Any comments?

That feature is not yet implemented. The Tag Editor does edit the layout, but once a tag has been entered, it is still there internally. Removing the actual tag will require a re-compaction of the database. I need to do this eventually.
Solution:
Edit the XML file and remove those unwanted tags. Then open the XML file using GenoPro and save again as a .gno file.

I have used genopro gold and I consider that it is the software of more interesting genealogy. It is possible to be transformed, with base in tags several characteristics. My intention is to treat the kinship from the economy, the religion, etc; Not only say that he is brother or his father, if not to relate them from many points of view, ok. When adding tag (tag editor) for example, “testament” and commentary to him (comment), me does not allow it, what on the matter I do? In addition, in the menu, it says that it can erase events, but is inactivated, like tags that are not used, also other characteristics that desire to add a commentary. Please note that this software "GenoPro Beta" is not the final version yet. It is beeing tested by users like ourselves and recommendations and/or suggestions are made with regard to functions, etc.
Due to this fact several functions are not yet implemented and/or to be modified based on test results and/or operational improvements. There are several "Beta Versions" to come, each with new and improved functions.
Very soon you will be able to make reports with the data you have entered in the fields. The next step will be to enter data again based on new data fields and new functions. Since we "users' do not have control over the timetable of the final release (GenoPro 2.0) all of us are waiting anxiously for the next, next,n..... Beta. So please be patient like all others.

The Tag Editor is far from being finished. In the future, each user-defined tag will be customizable to specify the data type such as single line text, multi line text, date, number, enumeration and text limit.
Last week, I fixed a crashing bug in the Tag Editor. The bug was when double-clicking on a deleted dialog layout.
