as a feature i was thinking this might be nice and probably not to hard to do ( not that i would know realy)
but some where in prefrences you should be able to check a box for back up files (or redudant files) and then be able to point to a seperate location of where you would like to save
so as an example
i work all day and save my "bloodline.gno" file in c:\my familytree
but at teh same time bloodline080105.gno gets saved to either d:\my familytreebackup
or even \etworkdrive\diffrentcomputer\myfamilytree
that way if my computer snuffs it then i still have a copy and if i want to see what my tree looked like last year have a record trail?

that way if my computer snuffs it then i still have a copy and if i want to see what my tree looked like last year have a record trail? What I am doing is once a month I copy my files to a backup place. If the files are really important I immediatly copy them to my disc on key and move them to another computer. Every few months I burn my family project into a CD and so I have several backups, and I don't have to worry about any computer crash.
I agree that it will be very useful if GenoPro will have the Backup tool. With this tool you will be able to select GenoPro items you want to backup like different gno files, skins etc. After you select the files GenoPro will zip them into a backup file.

Me too . By the way, this is a great suggestion. At the moment, I am sticking to essential features to release v2.0.

By the way, this is a great suggestion. Which one of the suggestions or both?

If the program provides a backup utility then it is great. But if not you should backup any important data you have either on a different HD or computer or on a CD.
