I found GenoPro beta by accident just surfing the web. It is a very interesting concept so I thought I would try the beta.
I found if I try to import my entire GEDCOM file (23,000+ lines, 950+ individuals) I have a real mess. Specifically, I have multiple (unrelated) individuals one on top of another and families all over the place. The connecting lines are such that you can't tell where one family ends and antoher begins. When I try to rearrange them, both automatically and manually, lines get visualy disconnected and become out of alignment. No amount of playing gets the lines reconnected. I even tried importing small families and stitching them together but, there is always some sort of alignment problem on the import. I have seen a "spread" feature on some CAD programs that look for interference and move objects around making room. Maybe this can be employed in some future release.
Like I said, this is a new and interesting way of looking at relationships and would consider buying the product but I don't want to re-enter all of my information.

Thanks. This is a known issue, see post Topic5149-58-1.aspx for details.
You can still use GenoPro to analyze your family tree using the Table Layout (Ctrl+T). GenoPro has a "trivial AutoArrange" to arrange (sort) individuals by name.

Hello iphyx! If you want to, you could send me a copy, and I could see what I can do - my tree has about 2500 people and it looks GREAT, partly because I use the genomaps and hyperlinks. (No guarantees - I'm just an ordinary user!)
The hook: If you like it, do buy the program
You'll find that some features are still problematic using internal hyperlinks, but it'll take you somewhere to start seeing what the program can do.
