Standard Genogram's have symbols for Alcohol or drug abuse, Psychological or Physical Illness, both of the above and In Recovery From Substance Abuse as boxes.  I can't find those in here and we need them for our project that is due next week.

Can you please Help?

You can read here all about Genogram and the symbols you want to use (medical  genogram link).

I think that you will find the toolbars you need in GenoPro under the View menu. at the bottom you have both emotional and soial relationships toolbars. You also have to check that the "Display emotional relationship" is checked in the same menu.

You will need to have the latest beta version of GenoPro installed to access these functions - see http://www.genopro.com/beta/

I have the mental illness or substance abuse information in my ged.com but it did not import into GenoPro nor could I find cause of death in the GenoPro report. I had downloaded a trial copy to see if it would meet my needs. Basically the need is for a dissertation and sociology of family groups and their descendants. If I use Family tree, I thought it would be two much in the appendix. I thought that GenoPro could show the pattern of depression/anxiety; multiple marriages and the prevalence of suicide in the family I am studying. I liked being able to import into GenoPro since I dislike duplication.

Is this possible as an automatic part of the import?

Thanks,

Sandi

Why not at least try typing the word 'medical' by the spy glass in the top right of this forum?

Hi,

This Genogram symbol thing is quite cool. I never knew you can represent people through boxes. lol. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find this drug or alcohol abuse over there.
