Dan,

I am extremely sorry, but I led you astray... the conversion was correct in Hebrew, so that Bug1 in my previous post was not a bug.

The mistake was mine, as I started off with a Julian Calendar instead of Gregorian.  Very sorry about this...

Bug2 actually is only a partial bug:  When using the default language with the Gregorian Calendar, the Gregorian date is displayed correctly, only in Hebrew, which is fine.  The problem cropped up when using the Hebrew Calendar and then specifying the default language, which brought up Sept. 23, 5751 (in Hebrew).  This is actually an extension of Bug3.

Bug3 remains as described in earlier post.

Lastly, I concur with Alfi's email.  the check looks fine, but please do not remove the English translation of the Hebrew date (e.g. 23 Kislev, 5751)

Danny

I found another problem.

For example: I have someone who was born at about 1917. The Hebrew year is either 5677 or 5678. Converting to the Hebrew calander in Hebrew (English) gives: ~-0952 which is, of course, wrong.

The correct conversion, if possible, is 5677/5678, since the Hebrew year is changing during the Gregorian year. If this is not possible, I would suggest converting to 5677, since the Hebrew year change happens at about September/October.
