May I ask which Churchill you are related to John, Josiah, or William?

Hi,

I am related to William (Chr 10/10/1733) who was also known as William  Sampson.   I know that his father was also William (Chr July 1693) and that his father was John.   All of these were christened in Crewkerne but I have no further information and have not yet been able to go any further back.   Any help would be gratefully received.

Circa 17th Century there was a Reverend Peter Churchill the Vicar of Buckerell b. bef 18 Mar 1684 who married an Anne CHANNING of Crewkern.  For reference Rev. Peter was the Greatgrandson of the George Churchill who was called "the Puritan."

I have an Anne Channing of Crewkern who married abt 1739 in Crewkerne, Somerset.  Peter Churchill the Vicar of Buckerell.  Peter was a Rockbeare Churchill of the Main Line (of Devon Churchills) which goes back to Somerset circa 13th Century.
