I have been collecting ged files from the IGI. When you download several families into a GED file this can then be opened and you get a series of birth records where the parents are the same. Delete the parents and link as child to create the family.
The problem is that the import/open does not adjust all individuals to the grid and the link will often be at an angle. The solution is to use Ctrl-A and G before making the link.
Is it possible to make this the default action on opening?

Do you mean Ctrl+A (Select All) and Ctrl+G (Snap to Grid). After importing a family tree, GenoPro use the AutoArrange which automatically does the Snap to Grid.

Almost but not quite as Ctrl-G turns the grid on/off.
If you import an IGI .ged and try to create families immediately by linking an individual as a child the line is often not vertical. In this case if you then move the child horizontally the line remains fixed at the family line.
To avoid this I use Ctrl+A and then press 'G'

Sorry, I got confused. You are right, Ctrl+G turns the grid on/off. The key G does the Snap to Grid.
