I've added several photos to my family tree and generated a report locally on my computer. The problem I'm having is that two of the photos (out of about 10 or so) are refusing to display.  Instead, IE7 displays the placeholder with discription.  Right clicking and requesting "Show Picture" doesn't work.  However, double clicking the placeholder results in the photo displaying in a new window. The photos in question are not particularly big - 77kB and 195kB.  I would appreciate some clues on how this can be rectified.

Regards,

Martin

I've had this problem once and I don't exactly remember what I did to correct it. However here are a few tips you could follow:

1) make sure all your photos are in the same dir.

2) open the property panel(s), i.e. your Ind, Fam, Place, Source, ... where your 2 photos are and click the Browse button. Re-fetch your photos. If needed re-title them, etc.

3) in case you lately downloaded a new Genopro Revision, I suggest you delete the "customized English Narrarive Report" dir (if you used it) and, on the Report Gene panel, click the "New skin" button to recreate this dir again. You may have to back up some files (dic.xml, config.xml, *.htm) prior to delete the dir if you made some modifs and reinsert your modifs into the new created files. Hopefully your modif(s) may work again, but not guaranteed. If you used the embedded "English Narrative Report {EN}", ignore this item 3).

4) there is also an option "Flush Cached Pict Prop" on the Tools menu. I've not a clue what's this option does but you may try to click on it. This option may correct/improve something! By the way, It would be a good idea if Genopro could explain this option.

Good luck

Update: I also remember that sometime ago, I had problems with Capital letters and space(s) in the Pict filename. So avoid these, unless it's acceptable now.
