I have uploaded my family tree to familytrees.genopro.com using version 18e. However, following a system failure and a rebuild, I decided to install the latest 2007 version of Genopro. I have tried to load my backup copy of my tree but this appears to be corrupted. The only good copy I have is on the genopro site. Is there any way I can import the tree from the familytrees server to the 2007 version on my machine?

Just download the .gno file from http://familytrees.genopro.com/. Next, download GenoPro Beta 18e from http://www.genopro.com/beta/archives/. Open your .gno file using Beta 18e and save it (Ctrl+S). Next, open your .gno file using GenoPro 2007.

How do you download the .gno file. I have tried FTP but it will not let me log on to my tree?

How do you download the .gno file.

Right-click on the .gno file and select Save As.

I think that what you need to do is to download from your web page and open the file within GenoPro. You can then save the file.
With some browsers, depending on how they are set up, you may get the option to save familytrees.gno from the download.
Point is to download from your web page and take it from there

Somehow your report at http://familytrees.genopro.com/ops026/ does not contain the file FamilyTree.gno nor FamilyTree.xml, and therefore it is impossible to download.

Next time you generate an HTML report, leave the option to include the .gno file and/or the .xml file. Those options include the full family tree in the native GenoPro format.

Do you know you can make online backups with GenoPro. See http://support.genopro.com/MyBackups/ for details.
