I have a daughter who is engaged. Genopro allows this relationship and gives the following (via GEDCOM export) relationship.
0 @fam00099@ FAM
1 HUSB @ind00319@
1 WIFE @ind00096@
1 EVEN
2 TYPE Engagement
From my iterpretation ofthe GEDCOM 5.5 standard, I believe the following is the correct format.
0 @fam00099@ FAM
1 HUSB @ind00319@
1 WIFE @ind00096@
1 ENGA

There are two GEDCOM printing programs "out there" that I know of that process this and also 2 DATE and 2 PLAC tags associated with the ENGA tag.
As a bug, GenoPro allows no place to enter date and places for a partnership event other than marriage.

The GEDCOM 5.5 standard decsribes, a FAM record as follows:
FAM {FAMILY}: =
Identifies a legal, common law, or other customary relationship of man and woman and their children, if any, or a family created by virtue of the birth of a child to its biological father and mother.

My take from this is that today, this record describes a parnership between two people. The HUSB & WIFE tags are left over from a past - where LDS proprietry was a given. (INDI tags could  serve the same purpose for sex determination).

I think that Genopro should consider not using the FAM record as a marriage (1 MARR tag implied) and consider it as relationship (partnership) between two people.

The [ ENGA | MARR | MARB | MARC | ANUL | CENS | DIV | DIVF ] [Y|<NULL>]  {1:1} tags should describe the history of the relationship.

For Discussion:

I was not aware that the FAM record was being treated as a marriage, and certainly I always look upon the GenoPro family line in the genogram as just that, although others used to other family tree diagrams often refer to it incorrectly as the marriage line. GenoPro has a separate Union tab to document marriages.

The Report Generator 'Export to Gedcom' only outputs the MARR tag for a FAMily if a Union type, date, place or source is present or the family Relation indicates a marriage. Perhaps I should change it so that the EVEN tag is used if the Union Type is Other or Civil Ceremony. The specific event tags ANUL and DIV are also generated as appropriate. It uses the EVEN tag together with the subtag TYPE to record other family Relation values. I have overlooked the fact that a specific Gedcom Tag ENGA is available for engagement, I will make a correction for the next update.

As a bug, GenoPro allows no place to enter date and places for a partnership event other than marriage.

I think this is not a bug, but a wishlist item. Enhancement requests have been made in the past for recording of both family and individual events, and I believe it is on the roadmap somewhere. We can then properly record other family events such as Wedding anniversaries and other parties/celebrations, holidays, etc. together with dates, photos, place, source and notes.
