| I am having difficulty printing out my genogram. I have 304 people on it. There are additional "emotional realtionship lines" that are randomly set and do not connect to anyone. This is causing my genogram to be 800+ pages. Can someone help me out?

| Have you checked the Print Area (second group of the View Menu)? If there are odd lines they will define the number of pages. If they are off your normal display you may not be aware where they are

| Some further thoughts: Emotional Relationship lines must connect to two individuals, they can't exist as free-standing lines. I wonder whether the lines are actually family (aka marriage) lines? If you have imported a Gedcom file and used the default auto-arrange, then the presence of multiple marriages/partners in the data can cause very long family lines that do not appear to be connected to anyone. If this is the cause you will need to manually arrange the genomap before printing. If you use the View/Table Layout - Individuals and sort on the 'Mates' column you can easily find individuals with multiple partners and select them on the Genomap. Alternatively select the long line then click the 'Select Parents' button (or right click and choose 'Select/Parents' to identify the associated partners. You can then adjust the line and parent links as required. Sometimes Gedcom files also contain families/marriages with no partners which will also cause odd lines. These can be found using the View/Table Layout - Families and sort on Husband. Such 'families' will have empty Husband and Wife fields.
