I am trying to print to a HP Plotter printer which is 42" wide. I can set the paper to allow for a longer length of printing, but I can not get the tree to expand vertically only along the horizontal axis. Also, when printing, there are several sections of the tree which are not printing. This is happening when on the print preview screen the entire tree is present. I need help ASAP, as I am trying to have printed by Saturday night for a gathering. Also, is there such a thing as a phone number to call to actually get to speak with anyone from technical support? Thanks!

File, Page Setup should give you a screen to provide all variables for printing and supply a shadow on the screen to highlight the area of the genomap to be printed. Are all areas to be included within this highlighted area?

Yes, on the print preview option, all of the tree is noted. When it starts printing, puts out paper and then starts to print with a line and then starts some people of the tree. At this point, it has left a portion of the tree off.I am trying to figure out how to make it print everything.

I guess you have adjusted the 'margins' on page setup, and therefore I could only suggest that you export the file as a metafile (FILE, EXPORT, Export Metafile), load this file and print directly from it. I hope this works. If not then hopefully somebody more expert in printing solutions may attend the Forum in time to assist you.

Hi The suggestion given by Poolzone is the way to go. HP plotters behave differently with different applications, if they are configured as plotters, but not as printers. I suggest you export the same to a MetaFile and print/plot using HP Print/Plot Manager (I do not know what is the current name of the software they supply alongwith now-a-days, - but it is a part of the driver controller for plotters).
Also, try updating the driver to the latest version.

Another option that has been tried is to use a pdf printer, which has a wide variety of possible paper sizes and then see if the plotter will take the pdf as input.
Several posts about using pdf converters on this forum

I don't have a plotter but my suggestions are: I am trying to print to a HP Plotter printer which is 42" wide. I can set the paper to allow for a longer length of printing, but I can not get the tree to expand vertically only along the horizontal axis. First use File/Print Setup to select your plotter and set the custom 'page' size using an estimate for the length of roll needed. Then use File/Page Setup and adjust the scale % of each genogram so that the genogram just fits the height of the blue 'page' outlined with a dotted line. The genogram should then print the full width of your plotter roll. Also, when printing, there are several sections of the tree which are not printing. This is happening when on the print preview screen the entire tree is present. Make sure you are using the latest plotter driver from HP. Also, is there such a thing as a phone number to call to actually get to speak with anyone from technical support? If GenoPro were to offer telephone support I suspect the price of the product would need to increase at least 10 fold. Other than that it would have to be a premium rate telephone service. I consider the support offered by GenoPro by email and the forum to be excellent as it that provided by GenoPro customers on this forum.
