Have you tried with 2.0.0.8? Ron also issued an RC2 for the report.

UPDATE: even RC3

Not as yet. From ddv's point of view it must seem like the old English saying 'Out of the frying pan and into the fire'!

I see that there is a fair amount of chatter about this problem over on Google Groups and it would appear that the error is occuring within the Google Maps API script rather than the GenoPro skin. Is does seem to be confined to IE. (So use Firefox! ) There does not appear to be a concensus as to the cause. Some blame a particular version of IE6.

It will be a couple of days or so before I have the time to investigate this further. However if I can reproduce the problem I should be able to find a solution.

I believe I have found the culprit. The error occurs within Google's Maps API code, specifically in the Gunload() function, that the Google documentation suggested should be called in the body 'onunload' action.

The attached skin, Narrative_2.0.0.8RC4.zip, overcomes this issue by ignoring the error, by placing the call to Gunload() in a J(ava)script 'try .... catch' statement. The error also occurs if the overview Google map is unloaded twice. This is fixed in the skin as well.

Ron, my report is based on 2.0.0.5 narrative and I was not able to reproduce this error (I tried with IE7 and Firefox 2.0.0.5). Is thsi issue linked to IE6?

Yes it is. I can only reproduce the problem with IE6. IE7 & FF seem fine. Don't know how to fix it yet, but it does not appear to cause problems. Just ignore the error and the map gets displayed correctly.
