| I use the % of the translations page to know if there are some text to review... In this moment catalan is about the 98% with all the text and descriptions done but there are some other languages that have the 99% but they have no descriptions text. I think that description is a very important field and must be also reported. What is the criteria? when a language will be 100% translated? Thanks. Jordi-Albert

The translation percentage is an estimate of how much of a language pack has been translated. GenoPro computes the ratio of the number of XML elements translated over the English language. Since the ratio is computed from XML elements rather than XML attributes, some of the XML attributes such as the description are ignored. Also, the number of XML elements may vary, as GenoPro has shared text. There are hundred repetitive text, such as the buttons OK, Cancel, Help, which can be translated in each dialog, or translated once in the shared text. As a result, it is very difficult to estimate the exact translation percentage.

| thanks. The most important is know if we must do some more review or not and the porcent is, really, not important. may be is more usefull to have concrete numbers ("2780 of 2900 sentences transladed"). What do you think?

is more useful to have concrete numbers ("2780 of 2900 sentences translated"). What do you think?The number of sentences is a vague estimate because some of the text is shared. Currently the percentage is calculated by the server using a simple node count. Such feature would require an upgrade to GenoPro and a complex mechanism to determine the total number of nodes required for a 100% complete translation.

| but the share text is translated... (if one of them is translated....) and I think that this is not important, the important is to know if there are changes to review (may be with a flag or the last update of the English version).

| I'd love a feature wher one can see where bits are missing, without needing to open each separate window or tab. Can you make the whole xml-file available for us, for editing, please?

| Agree: I would love any kind of indication as to where text is missing, without the need to open each separate tab. Can we be allowed to edit the xml files directly, without going through the in-program interface?

I agree it would be a good idea to have a summary report of the text missing for localization. At the moment, you can click on a column and find text empty, however you have to visit each dialog. GenoPro could display in parentheses the number of text missing for translation for dialogs and enumerations. As for translating the menus, just click on the column and GenoPro will sort the text (all the cells with empty text will appear at the bottom)
