I've noticed that if I am using GenoPro (V2.0.1.6) for an extended period (2/3 Hours) that the Find function stops working properly. If I enter the name of a person that I wish to find on my Genomap instead of offering me a list of possible matches it just displays an empty table. I know the name exists because I can see it on the screen in front of me!!

If I then save my work, shut down GenoPro, restart the software and then repeat the search everything works fine again.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Hello.
I've experienced the same issue.
Try the following, BEFORE doing the search, go to Table Layout, Individuals and perform the search from there (using the Find button on the top). After that, all the following searches will work properly, evem if you do it in the usual way (without going to the Individuals table).
Sorry about my english!
Best regards,

There are two possibilities for this behavior:

1) A memory leak preventing the Edit-Find function to work properly.  If this is the case, then perhaps other functions will not work, including saving the .gno file do disk which requires a lot more memory than displaying the find search results.  To find out if there is a memory leak, feel free to use the Task Manager to list all processes and look how much memory is allocated the process GenoPro.exe.

2) The Table Layout is displaying the search results from the previous search.  The Table Layout has two modes: the first mode displays all the data, and the second mode displays the search results.  You can switch modes by clicking on the toolbar buttons:

To switch to the Table Layout mode, you can always use the shortcut Ctrl+T.

I am curious to find out what may cause the Edit-Find function to stop working.
