Hi, I have been trying to register using an academic key, when I request the registration key (after inputting my professor's info), it thinks and then gives an error message that says something about possibly a firewall problem. the program opened but I don't want to begin work if this is not the extended trial, for fear of losing my work. I have not received any emails with codes. Thanks for any suggestions! Amy
HI, I am trying to get an academic registration code - I entered my professor's key that was provided and it gave me an error saying a key could not be provided possibly due to a firewall error. I'm not sure what this means, I have not received any email from Genopro, but the program opened. I don't want to start working and then lose access before my project is complete. please advise...
thanks,
Amy

According to our records, no request for an evaluation key has been made for your email. My guess is your firewall is blocking GenoPro from requesting a key from the server www.GenoPro.com. I am almost sure the Check for Update does not work either because GenoPro cannot connect to the Internet on your computer.Feel free to use the following academic evaluation key: 4RU-9AZ-AJC-JZJ-TMP

Thank you! (I tried turning off the firewall, but it still gave me an error. the error message did say something about the firewall, though.) The code you provided seems to have worked. Thanks again, Amy

Dear Amy, According to our logs, the email [amy ... @ juno . com ] never requested any registration key. What it means is our server never received any communication from your computer for a key, therefore it is impossible for us to send you a key. If there was a problem sending an email to your account (such as an invalid email address), we would have received the request and we would have an error code regarding the email address. The only logical conclusion is you either used a different email, or a firewall is blocking GenoPro from accessing the Internet to request your key.

The server is currently overloaded. The email scheduler has about 172,000 emails late in the queue. We hope the server will catch up sending the emails by the end of the week.
