Hello all,

When I start GenoPro 2007, the message log box comes up and says "Dialog Layout 'Custom Tags' for individual does not have any tags!". It repeats this about a hundred or so times. After a minute or so, GenoPro goes to "not responding" mode and I have to close it out via the task manager. My tree never comes up, just the message log box.

I really hope someone can help me with this, I have about 2300 names and information in there in about 20 or so tabs.

Thanks in advance,
Casey

(I did make a backup GEDCOM early this morning before I started working on my tree today, but when I import it, all 2300 names are jumbled on top of each other. If anyone can help this from happening, I will only have lost the progress I made today.)

Thanks for responding. I have pretty much given up on the file and was able to untangle the masses of people overlapping each other. Thanks to GenoPro for having the "select ancestor" and "select descendant" options. What I thought was going to take me days to undo only took about three hours.

If anyone else has the problem of importing a GEDCOM into a file and it becoming a cluster of people, use the select options. I just had to sort through and find either the beginning or ending of a GenoMap and pull it out of the cluster and hit the AutoArrange. As long as it wasn't connected to anyone still in the heap, it arranged them pretty nicely on the side.

Thanks though,
Casey

I don't know how to post a file here.

I don't know how to post a file here.

At the bottom of the "Post Options" panel, click "Edit attachments".
