I am getting this error message when trying to open my file:

Opening file 'F:\Personal\Arbol Genealógico\Monzón Paz.gno'...
Reading file 'F:\Personal\Arbol Genealógico\Monzón Paz.gno'...
Cannot import text file because its format is unknown to GenoPro. Please supply a valid XML or Gedcom file.

I purchased it on Sep 10th. and I have been using it almost daily with no problems, until today.

If you can open the file in Notepad and it reads text then you may have a clue as to what happened.
However the GenoPro file is a zipped xml file and if you open that you will only see garbled version.

Try this.
Make a copy of the file into another directory.
Rename it as a .zip file - ignore the warning.
Open in Notepad.

The first few lines should be

I tried to open it directly from Notepad, and it appears blank - nothing on it -

I also renamed the file to .zip and tried to open it from Notepad and nothing again, a blank document.

It looks like I have lost everything.

Any other idea to have a chance to recover it?

Should I send you my file, so you can take a look at it? Email address or can I send it form here?

Thanks,
