Rob You need to give more information if you want advice. What sort of file are you trying to open?

| Thanks for picking up on my problem. I have downloaded and saved a large genpro family tree file from European Dynasties (4,214 KB). This file has a .gno suffix. When attempting to open, I get a box advising that this file is "too tall" to open and that I should attempt to either break up the the file into segments ot to utilize Windows XP which should have no problem with this size. I am using Windows XP, yet cannot open this file. I am uncertain as to how to go about the break-up (2 suggested methods) but will attempt this if my XP balks. For now, I hope to get some insight into how I can open the file I have. This may involve re-setting a parameter somewhere in the XP options, but I do not know where this re-set might be. Rob

Robert I could not see the file you mention on the Dynasties site. However have a look at http://familytrees.genopro.com/vlepore/DYNASTIES/ This may be what you are looking for
