As far as I can see there is no way of making a Custom Tag anything other than Data Type "TEXT".  For example,  I'd like to be able to use PLACE information and share this with Custom Tags allowing pop-down menus of existing PLACES.  Any way of doing this??

I've never received a response to this posting, so do I assume it can't be done? Are there any plans to implement this is GenoPro-X?

Also, can a custom tag be made other than just a single-line depth, so that large amounts of text can be added in paragraphs?

I guess this post slipped through.  Sorry.

At the moment, GenoPro 2016 only has text as custom tags.  The new GenoProX (under development) has a different architecture to handle tags: essentially all tags are somewhat 'custom', which will make very easy to add custom tags with different data types: text, multiple lines of text, filename, color, object (such as individual, family, picture, event), enumeration (like: blood type, cause of death, etc), and more.  This new architecture will also help to import data from various file formats (gedcom, or other).
