Adding a new spouse results in a new
person
"off the
scale
".
At first it looked like I only got a thick line, but zooming out revealed a person "far, far away"...
Is the word "heterological" autological ?

Are you adding a second spouse? I have seen this before, sometimes. If it happens, use Undo (Ctrl+Z) to remove the new entry and then add the spouse as an individual and use the
Link
as Mate (Ctrl+M) to link them
