I'm working on a project that I need finished by tomorrow and this thing has randomly decided to loose some of the symbols that were listed under "relations" previously.  I don't know what happened.  I used it for several family members on about half of my genogram, but as I continued, the list of symbols went from having things such as "cohabitation" and "divorce" to only listing only "marriage," "commited relationship," and "liason, uncommitted relationship."  I REALLY need the "divorce" and "cohabitation" symbols back.  Can you please help me?!!

Not sure exactly what you mean as I would not say symbol for marriage type. Possibly you are looking at the Unions tab on the Family Properties menu, which has a much smaller list.
The place to set up the full range is on the General tab of Family Properties. The Relation box shows Marriage but the full list can be obtained by clicking the down arrow.
Is that OK?

Hi,

I am having the same problem.

On the General tab of Family Properties, the list I see on clicking the down arrow only includes a grey line with no indication, followed by Marriage, Committed relationship, Liaison/uncommitted relationship. I have seen and used cohabitation in this same genogram a few weeks ago, so I suppose I must have changed the settings somewhere and it is not displaying as an option anymore.

Any help would be very appreciated!

Thanks!

Not sure which version of GenoPro you are using, but does this help? Missing Family Relationships in GenoPro 2011

Hello!

It does not help Sad. Display genogram symbols is indeed marked and still I don't see the other 20 options...

I have downloaded genopro a couple of months ago. GenoPro 2011, version 2.5.4.1

I'll resort to customizing one of them and edit the legend.

Thank you,
Paula

UPDATE

I found it!

How bizarre - you need to uncheck 'Display Genogram Symbols for Family Relationship' for it to display, I'd assumed otherwise! Thanks for your help, now it is sorted out!

I am using GenoPro2016
I have the same problem not finding either separation or Divorce for Unions
The only way I can put one in is to copy an old one from elsewhere in the tree,
connect it to the family in question and then change all the details from their
original family to those of the new one which is rather tedious when you have lots
to do in a new tree.

Try to uncheck  Display Genogram Symbols for Family Relationships from the Options menu.
