[Sorry if something similar was already posted by someone else - I did a quick check but did not
find
anything]
When using the "
check for updates
"
option
to update the current GenoPro
image
, the
installer
seems to select C:\Program Files\... by default.
Hence, on systems with a higher-than-none security level, this is bound to fail due to access restrictions on the "Program Files" folder (which is one of the reasons why the skins moved to another
location
with the venue of 2016, I believe). Even from within an admin account - which has all access rights - I get the following:
Also, when you select [Yes] to
download
to the desktop (see last message line), it fails.
Specifying the "C:\Users\<current user>\Downloads" folder solves the issue.
Would it not be simpler to download the installation file to the downloads folder in the first place?
For me that location works all the time.
By the way, even if you uncheck the "create a desktop item" check box, a desktop icon is created anyhow.
