I downloaded the latest skin update, and did some work on my tree.

I noticed when I ran the Narrative Report, some of the Social Relationships were not appearing as they did before.

For the Named After relationship, I got this:

Name (or Nickname) was named after x
He was named after x.

For Other relationships (I had a few people appeared twice on a genomap, and connected the 2 entities by an arrow to keep the family structures separate), I got this:

The entry would appear twice for each instance on the genomap (I think).

Thanks in advance!

Yes sorry about that.  Those gremlins were at it again when I did some cutting and pasting when correcting an issue with uploading of pictures.

To fix use the attached file as a replacement for Narrative Common\Code\Init.htm.  I'll also add it shortly to the skins update bundle.

Thank you ... works great!

I'm curious if there is a more elegant way to do this ...
On one Genomap, I have 4 separate families ... which are connected by the women that married from one family into another (hyperlinked from one to the other).

I've used a Social Relationship, marked as "Other" to connect each pair of hyperlinked women... basically to make it easier to see where each woman married into another family.  I'd prefer if I could label the Social Relationship as "Is the same as" or maybe something else?

When I run the report, the Connections & Relationships section for those women say:

Is there a way to just make the arrow appear in the Family Tree view, but not in the report?  I've thought of using just a plain arrow, but there is no way that I know of to fix the start and end of the arrows to the 2 hyperlinked versions of the same woman.

Is there another way to do this?  If I should ask in the How To section, please let me know.

There wasn't a way to exclude emotional and social relationships from the report narrative, however I have made some minor changes to Narrative Common\Code\Init.htm so that you can define and use an IsLabel Custom Tag for this purpose that will act in a similar way toas the built-in IsLabel tag for Individuals and Familes (shown as Make Label / Exclude from Report on Properties dialogue).

You could use the Social Relationship type 'Associate with' or leave the type blank and add a Comment/ Data Tip of say 'same person' but for the latter I noticed that data tips are not being shown when hovering over relationships in the report and so I have amended the Narrative Common\Code\genomap.svg file to fix this.
