I accidentally overwrote a gno file, but I still have the
emf
file. Is it possible to re-create the gno file from the emf file?

No, it is impossible to recover a
genogram
from a metafile (.emf) file. A metafile is a vector-based
graphic
, similar as SVG, which is the same class of
images
as a JPEG or PNG. You can edit a EMF file with an editor such as Photoshop but that's all; you cannot recover the original .gno file with all the additional
information
.
My recommendation is to
search
all your folders and drives for any .gno files. GenoPro has a
File Find
to do that.
Also, search your email outbox. If you
sent
or shared your genogram or family
trees
with others, it is possible there is a copy of your .gno file in your mail
archives
. According to our records, there is no
backup
of your .gno file onto our server.

Thank you. Seems I will have to re-create it by hand using the .emf file as a guide.
